Jason Orlosky, Associate Professor

Dr. Orlosky received his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 and his PhD degree from Osaka University in 2016. He is currently an associate professor at Augusta University with a dual-appointment at Osaka University. His research topics include vision augmentation, eye tracking, and intelligent user interfaces. 

Doctoral Students

Lynsey Steinberg

Lynsey Steinberg is a PhD Student at the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University and the Director of Innovation at the Georgia Cyber Center. She graduated with a master of science degree from the Medical College of Georgia and earned her board certification in 2016. Since joining Augusta University, she has earned her gamification certification and was one the founder of the three leaders of the annual INNOVATE! Interdisciplinary student team competition at Augusta University. Lynsey has been able to experience hands-on surgery, developing virtual reality, 3D printing, animation, gamification, the science of motivation, and marketing while working directly with students, faculty, and physicians. 

Katrina Visintainer

Katrina Visintainer is a PhD Student at the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences. Her research is focused on Medical Cyberphysical Systems.

Alireza Taheritajar

Alireza Taheritajar is a PhD student at the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University, with a passion for cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality (AI & XR) Interaction. He is developing innovative applications aimed at enhancing learning processes and productivity in industrial settings. Previously, Alireza was the AI tech lead at an industrial company and co-founded various startups specializing in AI, robotics, and electronics. His entrepreneurial background and leadership in tech continue to shape his contributions to research and development in immersive technologies.
